David Levinsohn, MD

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Levinsohn is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Levinsohn did his orthopaedic surgery training at the University of Washington in Seattle. Prior to that he did orthopaedic research and helped set up the microsurgery laboratory at UCSF and instructed in its teaching programs.

Dr. Levinsohn has a friendly bedside manner and strong diagnostic skills. He will utilize technology such as MRI in order to facilitate an accurate diagnosis that leads to the best outcome.

Dr. Levinsohn will discuss the options for treatment in easy to understand language. He will often recommend conservative measures and will only recommend surgery if clearly indicated.

Dr. Levinsohn sees patients with all types of orthopaedic problems. He has particular interest in knee and hip replacement and traumatic injuries of the lower extremity.

In his free time he likes to do hot yoga, taking his dog Snowy for walks, and is an avid rugby fan.

Hobbies

He loves sports and in particular rugby. He has been a team Doctor's for OMBAC rugby club and several high school football and basketball teams.
